CAMA is now accepting comments to the North Carolina Turnpike Authority’s application for a permit to construct the Mid-Currituck Bridge. A total of 4 permits are needed to move the project forward. This is the 3rd of 4. No permits to date have been issued.
We suggest that the CAMA permit should not be issued unless and until the 401 and 404 permits are issued.
There is no viable way currently to pay the $1 BILLION price tag. NCTA recently failed to receive a $425 million dollar grant from the federal government.
